Monica Pugnaloni
After graduating in Oriental Languages and Literatures from “La Sapienza” University in Rome, Monica started working in the fashion industry, contributing to the retail development of the Chinese market, which was opening up to the West at the time, and setting up the company’s local market management structures, as well as carrying out staff training programmes.
She is still professionally involved in sales and retail in the fashion industry, working in the South Korean, Middle Eastern and South East Asian markets.
In 2012 she completed a Global Executive Master in Business Administration at SDA Bocconi (School of Business Administration) in Milan and in 2019 she obtained a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in Corporate Social Responsibility at SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland) in Manno.
He served as lecturer of the Corporate Communication module within the EMBA (Executive Master in Business Administration) programme of SUPSI in Manno in 2018 and 2020.
Since 2016, she has been an integral part of the BPW Business Professional Women Club Ticino, an apolitical and aconfessional association present worldwide, which aims to achieve gender equality in business and politics.
The club has 76 members in Ticino and 40 clubs and 2,300 members in Switzerland. As an economically influential lobby, the BPW has representations at the UN and the Council of Europe.
Active in the Executive Committee, she works with the other members to carry out projects and initiatives aimed at raising awareness of gender equality, promoting partnerships and networking with economic, social and political players, and supporting mentoring and continuing education programmes.
