Alessandra Gianella
Alessandra’s cultural openness to the world and her inclination to take up personal challenges led her to study sinology, modern history and political science, first at the University of Zurich and then at Zhejiang University in China, immersing herself in a completely new environment for two years. She then went on to do a Master’s degree in economics and public management in Lugano, before continuing her education at the University of St. Gallen.
From a professional point of view, her trajectory moves both in Switzerland and abroad. Alessandra was responsible for relations with China for a Swiss company and then for four years she managed the Italian-speaking Switzerland office of economiesuisse (the Federation of Swiss Enterprises) in close contact with many small and large companies, investigating many economic policy dossiers and building up a dense network of contacts south and north of the Alps.
In 2020 she decided to embark on a path that she wanted to build herself, founding Sinocom: a company that deals with economic consultancy and cultural mediation between Switzerland and China, marketing activities, communication and territorial promotion.
